Evidence Based Education is delighted to be fundraising for the MS Society in 2020.
MS Society is a charity to which we have a number of close connections, and the idea to fundraise officially for them came about last September, after our MD Jack Deverson completed the Great North Run. C.J. Rauch, who was and still is recovering from a broken leg, expressed a wish to run in the event in 2020, and the challenge was set for the rest of the team too. The uptake has been excellent, and we have a team of ten EBEsters and friends running on 13th September!
As well as the Great North Run itself, we are going to be hosting a Variety Night in June, more details on which you can find below, and Jack has also (perhaps foolishly) pledged to run the C2C – from Whitehaven in Cumbria to our office in Sunderland – in five days. Dates for this are TBC, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
In the meantime, if you’d like to get involved, support the team, and have a great Friday night at the end of exam season, why not come along to the Variety Night with a group of your colleagues?!
Tickets are available individually, or as a discounted table of ten (purchase ten tickets and use the code VARIETY25 to receive £25 off). Tickets include:
- Entry to the event (doors 6pm for a 6:30pm start)
- A half-hour of stand-up comedy, in association with Durham’s Nightcaps Comedy
- A hot buffet meal
- Musical entertainment courtesy of EBE co-founders and acoustic duo Not Just Jack
- A selection of games with cash prizes
On the night, there will also be a cash bar at the venue, and a charity auction, with prizes to be announced!
You can find out more details and purchase tickets here, or get in touch with us if you have any queries.
