These CEM assessment data workshops are run by Evidence Based Education (EBE), the approved provider for training on CEM Durham’s assessment systems.
This is the workshop for CEM’s assessments in SW England – for other upcoming dates and venues, click here.
Each day is split into four sessions. We will cover PIPS, BASE and InCAS on the primary day. The secondary day will consider the feedback provided by the MidYIS, Yellis and Alis/CEM IBE assessments.
The timings for the days are as follows:
Thursday 26th April
Friday 27th April
(9am – 10:30am)
|PIPS||Using CEM data for diagnostic purposes (Intake profiles + IPRs)|
(10.45am – 12:15pm)
|BASE||Target-setting with CEM data (‘Predictions’ and chances graphs)|
(1:00pm – 2.30pm)
|Assessment Without Levels (plus Q&A)|
(3pm – 4.30pm)
|InCAS||Reviewing progress using value-added|
Full-day tickets include access to all sessions, including a ‘bonus session’ on Assessment Without Levels, with EBE director Stuart Kime. Tickets also include refreshments throughout the day and lunch at 12:15pm. If you want help analysing your own school’s data, our EBE experts will also be hosting ‘data clinics’ throughout the conference in an adjacent room.

Do you offer an ‘early bird’ discount?
Of course! Full-priced tickets are available at £250 for the whole day, or there is a 10% discount if tickets are bought before Friday 30th March; use the “early bird” ticket type to secure this rate.
Do you offer Group Discounts if we would like more than one ticket?
We certainly do! If you’d like more than one ticket, use the promo code ‘CEMGROUP’ at checkout and you’ll receive an additional 10% discount.
What is a ‘data clinic’?
Data Clinics are short, focused sessions with individuals or very small groups in which teachers and school leaders bring along specific data sets and relevant questions. These questions are then put to the EBE expert. Questions may be about interpretation of the data, using them as part of a monitoring and evaluation system in school or identifying areas for support amongst cohorts…anything that you want help with!
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Monkton Combe is situated near Bath. The school is very close to the A4 and A36. There is free parking available at the school. If using public transport, the school is located a short (about 10-minute) taxi journey from Bath Spa railway station.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please do bring either a printed ticket or email confirmation on your phone. We will have a list on the door to cross-check and register you.
