Fostering research use in school districts through external partnerships

This is a short blog post written for the William T. Grant Foundation summarizing Caitlin and Cynthia’s recent research on “absorptive capacity” (i.e., an organization’s ability to learn from external sources of knowledge) and how it applies to school districts working with external research partners. I suggested this piece because it can help both practitioners and researchers think more deeply about their own organizational cultures, routines, and systems with respect to collaborative research production.
