Welcome to EBE’s 2017 Edvent Calendar!
Never mind Advent, we’re all about the Edvent Calendar this year!
We’ve asked a number of experts from across the field of education to name two or three pieces of education research this year which you should read and be aware of, and in true Advent style, we’re going to release one each day from 1st to 24th December… Simply click the “doors” in the calendar below to open the entry for each day!
While we hope that the research we highlight here provides food for thought, we also urge caution in its use: sometimes keeping up with the latest research can be problematic and, as one of our contributors, Dylan Wiliam, points out, an over-reliance on single studies from a single year has the potential to be misleading when it comes to teachers making decisions for their own classrooms and schools. Our aim is to bring you a selection of recommendations which broaden horizons and tickle the brain; our wonderful contributors have done just that!
WIN!
Seeing as how we’re all for giving presents, too, we’re running a competition for you. All you have to do is complete the form, linked below, in order to enter our Edvent prize draw. After 24th December, we’ll choose one entry at random, to win an EBE goody bag, full of all sorts of awesome stuff, as well as a free 30-minute research engagement consultation with our Director of Education, Stuart Kime…
