When you sign up to the Great Teaching Toolkit, your school is allocated a GTT Advisor – a member of our team whose role is to support you and guide your implementation with your staff.
Our team of GTT Advisors have been listening to feedback from teachers and leaders in their regular conversations. In this series of blog posts, we’ll explore what feedback we’ve received, what developments and additions are coming soon, and how they will help you and your colleagues.
Over time, one common question is whether there is a way to tailor the guidance and advice that you and your teachers receive to your context, when thinking about implementation.
What has been developed…
With such a range of tools, courses, resources and support to choose from in the GTT, we want to make the process as smooth as possible for your staff when they sign up.
In the first instance, we have improved the onboarding process for you and your team, creating clear guides to what is available in the platform and where you need to go to do what once you log in.
These developments will also make it easier for you and your team to access support from within the platform, with a searchable knowledge base.
What’s next after that?
We understand that no two contexts are the same, and each school or college on the GTT will have a slightly different vision of how they want to use the tools you have access to. While you always have access to your own GTT Advisor, whose job it is to help work out what this implementation looks like for your context, we also want to ensure it is as easy as possible for you and your colleagues.
We support this process of customising the GTT to your context, in the form of an implementation tool which Coordinators will receive on a first login. With this, you answer some short questions about your context and aims with the GTT. We then tailor the onboarding process for you and your teachers, so that, when your staff first register and log in, the recommendations they receive on where to start are aligned with the way you want to roll out the Toolkit.
We hope this aids in making the process of getting started with the GTT as seamless as possible across your body of staff, and ensuring it fits in to your systems and processes.
How do I access this?
If your school or college already has a subscription, you’ll be able to access all of these tools and supports, and more, directly in the platform.
If you don’t already have access, you can find out more and sign up here, to benefit from this and all the other features available in the Great Teaching Toolkit.
