New partnership with the Chartered College of Teaching

We’re delighted to announce a new partnership with the Chartered College of Teaching, which will enhance the quality of teaching and learning through research-led, innovative, impactful and engaging professional learning.

Individuals working in schools using the Great Teaching Toolkit can gain recognition for the professional learning they undertake by completing the Development of Teaching Practice Award on the Chartered Teacher Pathway.

The Great Teaching Toolkit offers access for teachers to an evidence-based curriculum, courses to enhance specific elements of Great Teaching practice, and tools to provide feedback to support their professional development over time.

Teachers who submit a portfolio based on the ‘development cycles’ in the Great Teaching Toolkit can achieve the ‘Development of Teaching Practice’ Award on the Chartered Teacher Pathway.

Jonny Goggs, Head of Partnerships, Chartered College of Teaching said:

We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Evidence Based Education. The work of EBE, including the Great Teaching Toolkit, is widely cited and respected across the profession. We recognised an exciting opportunity to work together more closely to support the development of teaching practice, and offer a route to recognition for those engaging with their high-quality programmes and resources.”

Jamie Scott, Director of Partnerships, Evidence Based Education said:

We first collaborated with the Chartered College to run an event back in May 2017 when we were both very young organisations. It is a privilege and a pleasure to still be working in partnership to serve and support the professional development of teachers, just as we did six years ago! We’re delighted that teachers can gain recognition for the effort they put in to exploring a specific element of great teaching, and in planning, implementing and evaluating changes to their practice.”
