In England, as in many countries around the world, the curriculum rightly is a hot topic, but such a sharp focus on it runs the risk of isolating it from teaching and assessment.
Using assessment efficiently and effectively is the best way to know if a curriculum is changing and empowering learners. Well-designed assessments that align with the curriculum help us know if those important changes to students are beginning to happen and if they stick.
