The Great Teaching Toolkit Community: May 2022
Since the Great Teaching Toolkit was released in September 2021, its aim has been to provide teachers with high-quality feedback, training and tools in the areas that underpin great teaching in the classroom. Ultimately, it seeks to guide evidence-based, sustained and sustainable professional development in schools and colleges. More than 10,000 licences have been taken up since then in schools and colleges around the world.
Our team of GTT Advisors have been listening to feedback from teachers and leaders in their regular conversations. In this series of blog posts, weβll explore what feedback weβve received, what developments and additions are coming soon, and how they will help you and your colleagues.
You saidβ¦
With thousands of teachers and leaders now using the GTT on a regular basis to scaffold their professional development, it would be great to be able to network with others who are in a similar position to us β to understand how others are implementing it, to be able to share best practice and to learn from other Great Teachers.
β¦ And what we have developed
Released in May 2022 was our GTT Community and Resource area.
This was a feature we had always planned to develop at some stage, but we wanted to make sure we were responding to a real need rather than just creating something that we thought would be useful.
The Community area enables you to network with other teachers from around the world. You can ask and answer questions of GTT users, and get tried-and-tested support from those in similar positions all around the world, all according to your phase, subject area or the element youβre working on from the Model for Great Teaching.
It also features a curated feed of resources aligned to elements in our model, which will be kept up-to-date as we come across new blogs, podcasts and resources, as well as a βGTT Developmentsβ area. Here, you can request new features and register your interest in getting involved with specific future developments.
How do I access this?
If your school or college already has a subscription, you can find the Community on your Dashboard.
If not, you can find out more and sign up here, to benefit from this and all of the other CPD in the Great Teaching Toolkit.
